Weekly Wish List: Oranges or Peaches?

There's this colour (yes, another post about colour) that's a burnt orange but not quite because it's also peach... Can you see my issue? So I don't know what to call it... Let's just move on. Anyway I found an awesome pair of shorts today in 'that' colour from Dotti and they are now lucky enough to be chosen as my item of want for the week. In this photo though they look more browny red than they do 'that' colour.

Seeing as they aren't the best example of 'that' colour, I'd thought I'd add in a few pictures of better examples.
Minkpink Highschool Sweetheart Mini
Minkpink Long Distance Maxi Skirt
Dotti Lulu Blazer
So now you know what I mean, is it orange or peach? or am I just completely colour blind?

Outfit to Try

So I hear you saying, "What's this outfit to try?" And I'm saying, "Well, read on and you shall see!". (It's been a long week and yes I am crazy, I know) Alrighty, the outfit I have been talking of... Includes an awesome T-shirt and a fur vest. Fur vests have been around and in fashion for a while but only recently have I been looking at them in a different light and you should too (after reading this...) I think they are going to be great when going from winter to spring for those days when it's too hot for the over sized woolen jumper and too cold for that pleated dress. But before I go on, when I say fur I mean FAUX FUR. Let me just repeat that so you don't forget FAUX FUR! FAUX FUR! (they say you need to see or hear something three times to remember it...hmm)
I have some pictures of a few of my favorite choices but unfortunately they are only of the separates not someone wearing them as an outfit!
Zara Faux Fur Vest

Faux-Suede Lace-Trim Vest
Found it on EBay, not fur but still awesome. Made from suede and lace.
A plain dark grey T-shirt would go perfectly with either of these! Sorry for the scabby post! I will make it up to you eventually! Promise...

Weekly Wish List: to not to back to school!

As much as a I would love a couple more weeks of holidays (or months) this blog isn't about school...
So my realer (because my other wish is still real) wish for the week are 'pajama pants'. You might of heard of them, if not they are not the flannelet kind you wear to bed. They are bright usually patterned that are loose like pajamas but not.
The pair of these pants that I want were actually by Trelise Cooper and were about $400! I couldn't find a picture to show you how amazing they are but these my Minkpink are equally amazing and for less than a quarter of the price! So if I have to go to school the least I want are a nice pair of pajama pants.

Snake Skin Shoes

I'm not one for animal print but recently snake skin has been growing on me. Not the tight pants kind but the shoe kind. I haven't seen too many around, only because I haven't been looking much after finding these pairs from Wittner. This print could really (well almost) go with everything. I am hoping to get something similar to go with a dress I bought for later in the year and trust me you wouldn't even think of paring this print with the pretty pink girlie dress.

These are the first pair that caught my eye. They're fierce and really that's the main reason why I fell in love with them.

If you're feeling a little more daring, a snake skin with a little colour would also work. I especially love these hot pink ones.

Molly-Wittner Shoes, Fashion wedges
Wittner Molly Wedge
Keeping with the wedge ankle boot trend, these shoes subtle feature snake skin and a peep toe wedge. Perfect for the non-daring type. I love them all...

Which are you favorites? Or having you been looking better than me and found some amazingly amazing pairs of snake skin shoes that you want to share?

Made by Me

I thought I'd post some pictures of clothes as the title says, made by me!

These are some pants I made around this time last year. I whipped them up in about three days and I definately didn't expect them to turn out this good! These photos are obviously self taken so they are not very clear. But a year later and I still love them. They may not be as "cool" anymore but I don't think I will stop wearing them for a long time yet! I especially love the bow around the waist and the massive pockets!

This is a jacket I made at the end of last year. I had lots of fun making these and I especially love the material. Though if I had a chance to do it again, I probably would have used buttons rather than ribbon. I do like the look of the ribbon(and of course the bows) but it's not very practical.  It's the first jacket I've ever made so it's always going to be awesome, to me anyway!

Pleats Please

The fabric store may not agree with me but pleats are back. You're probably thinking, what's the fabric store got to do with anything? Well do I have a story for you!
I have recently been for pleated fabric to make a dress with and no one has any or if they did it's all sold out. In one store apparently I was the first to ever ask in four years the sales assistant had worked there... surely I'm not the first to catch on to this trend in four years. So now I am hand pleating... and trying to prove that pleating is coming back in fashion!
Here are a few photos of pleating from my favorite clothing lines... enjoy the pleating trend! I will be joining you all after a million hours hand sewing and ironing pleats. That is if I don't get sick of them by then.

Just noticing how much blue there is as well...hmmm. Better watch out for that too!
